THE CAMPFIRES

Each evening around the campfire you can enjoy breathtaking evening performances featuring musicians and dancers from the Thar desert
around Jodhpur. Authentic performers and the private setting make this a
highlight of the camp.

The nightly programme may include traditional puppet shows and magicians
as well as mesmerising performances from desert musicians and gypsy dancers.
On our special Pushkar Nights on 13 and 20 November there will be an after-dinner performance.

Some of our performers come from semi-nomadic communities who wander the Thar desert and camp outside towns and villages. Their musical traditions are handed down from generation to generation, the old teaching the young.

Our resident group of Manganiyar musicians from Barmer district also provide authentic traditional music in the mornings.
